Deletion Instructions

Data Deletion

SimplyExpense is designed so users keep control of their finance data. This page explains in-app deletion, manual requests, and backup removal.

1. Delete Your Account and Data

To delete your app data directly inside SimplyExpense:

  • Open the app.
  • Open User Profile from the side menu or More > Settings.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account & Data.
  • Confirm the action in the confirmation dialog.

When deletion is confirmed, localized financial records, cached profiles, settings, and cached Google Drive session data are cleared from the app.

2. Manual Deletion Request

  • Email simplyexpense@gmail.com.
  • Use the subject line Data Deletion Request - SimplyExpense.

3. Storage and Backup

SimplyExpense does not store your raw financial records on our servers by default. If you used Google Drive backup, also remove the app backup from your Google account's app data area.

4. Timeframe

In-app deletion is immediate. Manual requests are handled within 30 days of receipt.
